“You see what you aim at. So be careful where you aim.” – Jordan Peterson
On episode #30 of The Anxiety Project Podcast, I go over three things you must do in order to mold the new you. Anxiety recovery is all about creating a new identity and subtracting the old habits and patterns you used to run on a daily basis that kept your anxiety alive and your self worth low. To improve the quality of your life, you must expose yourself to new situations and patterns. I see people who are in their 60’s running the same patterns as they would when they were 18 years old. People need to update their software, which is their beliefs and values, in order to change the way they act in the world. Once you change your internal world, then your external world changes.
The 3 ways to mold the new you are:
1) Shifting Your Values
2) Model After Someone
3) New Routines
By implementing these new patterns, you will experience a strong shift in your life. When your life shifts, it can be very overwhelming and a lot of people fear this change. They fear the unknown, fear that they will lose people close to them, and fear their new self will not be accepted by others. The truth is is that once you change, it will not only benefit the people close to you, but you will attract new empowering people that will benefit your higher self. So it’s important that you do it.
